When I was just 13 years old, I stumbled upon the captivating world of photography. It all began with my very first camera—a simple point-and-shoot that my parents gifted me. I remember the excitement of holding it in my hands, exploring the settings, and capturing moments that felt like magic. But as life moved forward, that camera got tucked away and forgotten.

Fast forward to when I was 16, and I found myself reaching for my Android phone to capture everyday scenes. I experimented with angles, lighting, and composition, learning as I went along.

Then came college at 18, and with it, my first refund check. I knew exactly what I wanted to do—I invested it in a Nikon Coolpix camera.

As I turned 20 and then 21, I upgraded and purchased my first set of big girl Canon cameras—one for everyday moments and another for those dreamy portraits. They became extensions of my vision, capturing emotions, stories, and fleeting glimpses of beauty.

Curious about why my parents had chosen that first camera for me, I called them up. Their answer surprised me: apparently, I had asked for it!
